This camp is an opportunity for flatwater rowers to try coastal rowing, and for gaining experience in a variety of coastal shells (different sizes, different brands), practising coastal skills in both calm and wavy conditions, first exposure to what would happen at a beach sprint-format regatta, first exposure to what would happen at a World Rowing Coastal Championships (WRCC) format regatta and race practice in a beach sprint and WRCC format regatta. This camp is being run to encourage participation in coastal rowing and expand awareness of coastal rowing. This camp is targeted at participants with previous rowing experience equivalent to being comfortable rowing a flatwater 1x, and those with coastal experience. All participants must be able to swim. Coaching/instruction will be provided through on-land prep sessions before going out for each row. Registration includes a limited-edition Rowing BC Coastal Camp long-sleeved technical shirt for each participant.

Registration is available on a first-come-first-served basis. Registrations received after a camp is full will be placed on a waitlist and contacted if space becomes available. Completed registration includes submission of an online registration form along with payment made by cheque to the Rowing BC office (155-3820 Cessna Drive, Richmond, BC, V7B 0A2) or e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org.
